Beate Ramisch

BEATE RAMISCH was born in Waldsassen/Bavaria and, after some years of private lessons, she received an  education of the piano first
by Erich Appel at the Meistersinger-Conservatory in Nuremberg, and after that at the Conservatory for Music in Detmold, where Anatol Ugorski and Renate Kretschmar-Fischer were some of her teachers. Her musical path also includes numerous concerts even at the age of childhood and important competition prizes.

She specialized very early as an outstanding and sensitive chamber music pianist and up to the present day she  works as a periodical concert partner of well-known wind or string players and also singers. Beate Ramisch is an extraordinarily versatile musician who moreover concerns herself both theoretically and practically with Medieval and Renaissance music,
with non-European music traditions as well as with parts of popular music.
She considers the cooperation with Irina Shilina to be a fulfilling synthesis of classical piano playing and creative play with elements of World music.
